Stained Glass is a free stained glass window generator with a real light engine. Create procedural rose windows, Gothic lancets, twin lancets, round oculus windows, Tiffany panels, Prairie grids, and Art Nouveau glass, lit by a moving sun with colored caustics and volumetric light shafts, then save any window as a 4K wallpaper.

Stained Glass
A stained glass window generator with a real light engine. Every window is procedural: pick a shape, an era, and a motif, then watch the sun move through it. The colored pool on the floor is the window itself, cast in light. Made for anyone who wants a cathedral on their screen.
A free stained glass window generator that runs in your browser. It builds procedural leaded glass windows, including rose windows, Gothic lancets, twin lancets, round oculus windows, Tiffany panels, Prairie grids, and Art Nouveau designs, then lights them from behind with a moving sun, drifting clouds, colored caustics on a stone floor, and dust in the light shafts.
Is Stained Glass free?
Yes. Completely free with no account, no watermarks, and no feature gates. Every window shape, palette, motif, and the 4K wallpaper export are included.
How does the light work?
Real stained glass is lit from behind, so Stained Glass renders transmission rather than paint: each pixel is sky light multiplied by the glass color, shaped by procedural glass textures like seedy, hammered, streaky, and waterglass. The time of day control moves the sun, clouds modulate the light, and the colored pool on the floor is the window projected along the sun direction.
Can I use a window as a wallpaper?
Yes. Save Wallpaper renders the current view at up to 4K and downloads it as a JPEG. Zoom all the way in for a full glass composition, or zoom out for the chapel scene with light shafts and floor caustics.
Does it upload or collect anything?
No. Everything is generated and rendered locally in your browser with WebGL2. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is required.
How do I make a rose window or Tiffany panel?
Open settings and choose a window shape: Rose builds a radially symmetric cathedral rose window, Tiffany builds an organic opalescent panel, Lancet and Twin lancet build pointed Gothic arches, Oculus builds a round window, Prairie builds a Frank Lloyd Wright style rectilinear grid, and Nouveau builds flowing Art Nouveau shapes. Pair any shape with any design era and center motif.
Pinch or scroll to zoom. Two fingers (or shift-drag) to pivot the window.

Drag the window to move your photo. Glass colors and posterize flatten it into pieces; exposure moves where the bands fall.
The light needs WebGL2
Stained Glass renders its stained glass with WebGL2, and this browser could not start it. Try updating your browser, enabling hardware acceleration in its settings, or opening this page in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
