MP4 records with the soundtrack when audio is on. Firefox saves WebM instead.
An endless neon highway, generated from a single seed. Every world composes its own palette, terrain, striped sun, billboards, and 80s synth soundtrack in real time. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored — the whole drive runs in your browser.
Set the throttle, hold nitro for a burst, and hit New World until a seed feels like yours. Share copies a link that recreates the exact same world for anyone who opens it.

Retrowave Road is a free, browser-based infinite synthwave driving visual. It generates an endless neon highway — sky, sun, mountains, billboards, and a real-time 80s synth soundtrack — from a single seed, so every world is different and every world can be shared. No account, no download, no signup.
Yes — completely free with no hidden limits, no account, no watermarks, and no feature gates. Everything runs on your device.
Press Play and you are driving. Set your speed with the throttle slider, arrow keys, or scroll wheel; hold Space or the Nitro button for a burst; tap New World to generate a fresh seed. On phones, drag up and down on the road to control the throttle.
A seed is the number that generates the entire world — its colors, terrain, sun, billboards, tape name, and soundtrack. Tap Share to copy a link with your seed in it; anyone who opens that link gets the identical world.
Yes. The 4K Photo button downloads a 3840×2160 wallpaper PNG of the current moment. Record exports an MP4 (WebM in Firefox) or an animated GIF, in landscape, portrait, or square, with the soundtrack included in MP4 when audio is on. GIF is a 256-color format best suited to short clips — longer or larger GIFs get heavy.
Synthwave (also called retrowave or outrun) is a music and visual style built on an idealized memory of the 1980s: analog synthesizers, neon grids, chrome sunsets, and endless night highways. This app generates both halves — the visuals and the music — procedurally.
No. The world, the music, and every export are generated locally in your browser. Nothing you make leaves your device, and there is no tracking beyond basic anonymous page analytics.
Any modern browser with WebGL — Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox on desktop or mobile. A performance governor automatically trims effects on slower devices before it will drop frames.
This drive needs WebGL, and your browser or device has it switched off. Try Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox with hardware acceleration enabled — the highway will be waiting.
