Click a plant or select it in Greenhouse settings. Plant and Vessel settings affect that specimen. Atmosphere affects the whole greenhouse. Drag a pot to place it freely; positions are saved with your greenhouse. Drag the background to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom, and right-drag or use two fingers to pan. Double-click a plant to frame it.
Your greenhouse and settings stay in this browser. A recipe or copied link contains the seeds, plant settings, and atmosphere. Photographs save the current view without controls. Camera position is not stored in recipes. Undo restores removals, generations, and setting changes.
The clay, soil, and atmosphere are built in code — no photographs, no scanned models. All 102 botanical forms are generated by this app. Variegation is an artistic treatment.
Three.js loads from a CDN. Plants and textures are generated locally; the app uploads no photographs or recipes.
What is Living Greenhouse?
Living Greenhouse is a 3D houseplant generator. It grows 102 kinds of indoor plant — monstera, snake plant, rubber plant, pothos, ferns, palms and succulents — in fired clay pots, lets you arrange up to eight of them in one greenhouse, and saves a photograph of the result.
Is Living Greenhouse free?
Yes — free, with all 102 plants unlocked from the first second. No account, no watermark on the photograph, no paid tier and no export limit. Your greenhouses stay on your device.
How do I make a houseplant?
Open the page and a plant is already growing. Press the sliders icon, choose Add a plant, and pick from the collection. Shape the leaves, fullness and pot under Plant and Vessel, then press P to save a photograph.
Does it collect my data?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Plants and textures are generated on your device, nothing is uploaded, and saved greenhouses live in this browser's storage. Only anonymous page analytics are collected.
Are the plants real species?
They are generated likenesses, not scans. Each of the 102 forms is built from the real species' morphology — leaf shape, growth habit, canopy spread — and carries its botanical name, so a Monstera deliciosa fenestrates and a Dracaena trifasciata stands upright. Treat it as botanical visualization rather than a field guide.
Will this run on my phone?
Yes, on any modern phone or tablet with WebGL 2. Drag to orbit, pinch to zoom, tap a plant to select it. Rendering quality adapts down on slower hardware, and you can force it under Atmosphere.
How is this different from a plant care game?
This is a generator, not a care sim. Care games such as plant daddy run on a watering timer over days and let a plant die. Here nothing wilts and nothing waits: you grow eight plants, arrange them, and photograph the greenhouse in one sitting.
